Developing Online Content with the New Literacies in Mind Reading online versus on paper – is it any different? How can we prepare web content for maximum impact - whether it is for departmental web sites, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, or online course material? This workshop will show you key content design principles and practice and introduce you to formatting and web writing tips. Focus will be placed on working within MS Word and PowerPoint documents. Note: the tips are transferable to Camtasia Relay, MS Publisher, web content editors, various other kinds of publishing tools and support AODA accessibility requirements. Standard First Aid, CPR C and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Certification This 2-day workshop introduces participants to the basic functions of CPR by covering all major topics, such as: chocking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission. This course is suitable for first responder in the workplace. Certification: First aid is valid for three years; the CPR and AED are valid for one year. Yearly CPR certification is recommended. Would you like to improve the classroom experience both for them and for their classmates? This workshop, facilitated by a Disabilities Counsellor from the Centre for Students with Disabilities, will give you the information and resources you need to be an effective academic support person both inside and outside the classroom. During the workshop, you will have a chance to work through typical scenarios and you will leave with practical strategies to employ.
