A recent addition to our dvd collection is
National Geographic's Human Footprint, a look at how we affect the planet, especially through our consumption of goods.  Have a look at the trailer.

El Salvador - the buzz

A group of 2nd year SSW (Social Service Worker) students along with a few faculty will soon be heading off to El Salvador. They will spend approx. 2 weeks in El Salvador helping to foster economic and social development in this country.  To understand a little more on the struggles of this country following a civil war which killed over 75,000 people and displaced nearly one-fifth of the population, have a look at one of our new dvds:

Return to El Salvador

(DVD shelves - F 1488.3 .R27 2010).
Narrated by Martin Sheen, "this film is the moving story of Salvadoran individuals and their communities, as well as the complex geopolitical realities that have so profoundly impacted their lives."   Check out the trailer here.
